Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and energetic Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team in Lancaster, PA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong clinical skills, and the ability to create a positive and comfortable environment for our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures.
  • Assist the pediatric dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
  • Take and develop X-rays as required.
  • Provide patient and parent education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
  • Maintain sterilization and infection control standards.
  • Manage patient records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Foster a welcoming and positive environment for children and families.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with front-office duties as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Dental assistant certification (CDA or equivalent) preferred.
  • X-ray certification (required in Pennsylvania).
  • Experience working in a pediatric or general dental practice is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • CPR/BLS certification is a plus.
