Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Demonstrate product features through engaging demos to educate and excite shoppers about our offerings.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently.
• Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store sales.
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays by merchandising and stocking shelves according to planograms and store standards.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times.
• Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and organizing backroom supplies to keep the store well-stocked and inviting.

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales or grocery stores is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions.
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to assist in team coordination when needed.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting merchandise, and organizing displays.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and patience when addressing customer questions or concerns.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail merchandising practices is advantageous for this role. Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 38.0 per week
