DEFINITION: Under the direct supervision of the Native Workforce Development Program Coordinator, this position provides direct staff support and indirect support to program customers. Incumbent is responsible to assist staff in all necessary clerical support functions.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in answering all telephone calls, forwarding messages to voice mails, and recording written messages when necessary;
- Assists staff in providing information to all telephone and walk-in applicant inquiries regarding program applicants and in completing;
- May assist staff in conducting intake/assessments to determine eligibility of program applicants and in completing the required forms for NWD Program participation;
- May assist in data entry of customer information into electronic data base system;
- Data entry of program payables into electronic data base of organization;
- Inventory of maintenance of program supplies, equipment, ;
- May assist in maintaining program and customer filing systems both manual and electronic of a variety of documents, correspondence, letters, ;
- Assists with spot audit of customer files;
- May assist with preparing new applicant files, ensuring consistency of folder order and composition;
- Assists with maintaining security of the program's equipment, supplies and customer files
- Assists with procurement of necessary supplies and equipment;
- Development and entry of program documents in fillable formats in computer system;
- Research and implementation of program website;
- Maintains and updates information to programs website;
- Maintains customer confidentiality information on an on-going basis;
- Has basic working knowledge of services. Should be prepared to work as a team player to provide back-up coverage during peak periods when staff shortages arise;
- To attend meetings, workshops, conferences, and training as required;

- Knowledge of basic math to include addition, subtractions, multiplication and division; Ability to record and prepare reports;

- Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer and related software;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent with three years experience in employment, training, or related fields, OR a college degree with major in Education, Business Administration, Sociology, and Social Work is preferred, OR any combination of education, experience, training or other preparation indicating possession of required knowledge, abilities, and skills outlined for this position;
- Computer literacy and accurate typing rate of 45 WPM is required;
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Able to travel which may include overnight trips;
- Must possess a valid Nevada Driver's License;
- Have a reliable vehicle and carry appropriate insurance
