Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Controls / Automation Engineer to support the design, development, programming, testing, and validation of automated systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation platforms, vision systems, and motion control, along with knowledge of qualification processes in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, program, and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000, etc.).
• Design, configure, and integrate machine vision systems including Cognex or Keyence platforms.
• Implement, tune, and maintain Rockwell motion control solutions for automated equipment.
• Create and execute IQ/OQ/PQ protocols to support equipment qualification and validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers.
• Assist in system commissioning, FAT/SAT, and troubleshooting during deployment.
• Develop technical documentation including schematics, test plans, and user manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Rockwell PLC programming (Studio 5000).
• Hands-on experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systems.
• Experience with Rockwell motion control (Kinetix drives, motion modules).
• Working knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ processes for equipment validation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
