THE ROLE: ACCOUNTANT

The Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of BLEACHTECH's financial operations. This position oversees essential accounting functions—including accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and month-end close—while helping to build and refine the processes that support strong financial performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage daily accounts receivable activities and ensure timely reconciliation of all related ledgers.
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing final reports for Inventory, Fixed Assets, and Accounts Receivable; reconcile with the General Ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform verification of fixed assets, coordinate asset counts, and prepare fixed asset reports in advance of year-end to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and generate financial statements to deliver accurate and timely financial data.
  • Maintain financial records in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, alignment, and strong financial controls.
  • Design, refine, and document accounting processes and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to support operational excellence.
  • Analyze operating results, prepare variance explanations, and provide insights to support management decisions.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed to support departmental and organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (equivalent education/experience may be considered).
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; manufacturing and cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, improving, or implementing accounting processes or workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills required.
  • Experience with ERP systems—Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus.
