Automotive Service Advisor

Full-Time | Experienced Automotive Dealership Role

Position:

Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer
Industry: Automotive Dealership
Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior (2+ years dealership experience preferred)
Brand Experience: RAM, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler (Mopar), preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assess vehicle concerns, and recommend appropriate services
• Create and manage accurate repair orders (ROs) in the dealership management system (DMS)
• Provide detailed service estimates, labor times, and parts pricing
• Communicate effectively between customers and ASE-certified technicians
• Clearly explain diagnostics, repair findings, maintenance needs, and warranty coverage
• Maintain strong CSI scores through exceptional customer service
• Manage high-volume scheduling, walk-ins, and follow-up communication
• Upsell recommended maintenance services and dealership service packages
• Ensure timely vehicle flow from intake to delivery

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Assistant Service Manager in a dealership environment
• Strong understanding of domestic brands (Mopar: RAM, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler) preferred
• Experience with dealership software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) a plus
• Solid automotive knowledge, including diagnostics and routine maintenance
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Proven track record meeting sales and service targets
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits

• $80,000 – $120,000 per year (performance-based)
