Duties

• Greet customers warmly as they enter the store, creating a welcoming environment that encourages engagement.
• Assist customers in locating products, answering questions, and providing detailed product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipt issuance.
• Upsell related products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays, ensuring products are well-stocked, properly labeled, and visually appealing.
• Stock shelves efficiently by receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and conducting regular stock checks.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person while maintaining proper phone etiquette.
• Supervise or assist with training new team members when needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Manage basic retail math tasks such as calculating discounts, totals, and change accurately during transactions.
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cash handling, security procedures, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math concepts such as discounts and totals.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with professional phone etiquette.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of merchandising principles to create attractive product displays that boost sales.
