Builtech is currently seeking an Estimator ready to join our fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process RFP, RFQ and internal pricing requests and facilitate broadcast announcements of bidding opportunities.
  • Analyze drawings and specifications.
  • Competently draft, proof, audit, and deliver proposals.
  • Solicit and engage subcontractors to provide proposals.
  • Qualify subcontractor proposals for completeness and compliance with project documents.
  • Ensure Builtech?s compliance with bidding regulations and goals for each project.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Work on multiple client bids simultaneously and deliver in accordance with deadline objectives.
  • Identify and execute strategic opportunities within a proposal to optimize Builtech?s position in securing work.

Requirements:

  • Ideally 3-6 years of construction experience

  • Experience with internet-based bidding sites is preferred (Building Connected, Gradebeam, SmartBid, etc)
  • Proficient with Microsoft (Outlook, Excel and Word) and BlueBeam
  • Effective communication and ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to multitask; handling many diverse projects at once while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time
  • The ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as computer keyboards, copy machines, and computer printers
  • The ability to occasionally lift and carry lightweight office items like supplies or equipment
  • Valid driver?s license
