Bar Manager/Bartender

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and proper inventory management.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and engaging manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations.
• Monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
• Assist in managing inventory control, including ordering supplies and tracking usage.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food management practices.
• Train new staff members on bar procedures and customer service standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in a bartending role or related position within the food service industry.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food production processes and restaurant operations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage customer interactions effectively.
• Experience in inventory control and managing bar supplies efficiently.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience as an assistant manager or in a supervisory role is a plus.
• A strong understanding of food management principles is beneficial.
