MODERN IsraelI We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our food service operations in a new Modern Israeli Restaurant. As the cornerstone of our kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management. Duties
- Lead and manage the entire culinary operation, including supervising kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive team environment.
- Develop innovative menus that align with brand standards and cater to diverse dietary needs while emphasizing fresh ingredients and presentation.
- Oversee food preparation processes to guarantee consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety regulations across all service areas.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and maintaining accurate stock levels to optimize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions by planning menus, supervising setup, and ensuring timely execution of all food service activities.
- Implement and monitor strict sanitation procedures to uphold health standards and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with management on staffing schedules, shift management, and training initiatives to foster professional growth within the team.
- Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Monitor financial performance related to food costs and labor expenses; utilize data to improve operational profitability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying current with industry trends, culinary innovations, and best practices in hospitality.
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising diverse kitchen teams in high-volume settings.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and dietary department requirements.
- Expertise in menu planning, food production, catering, and restaurant management.
- Excellent inventory management skills including inventory control and food handling procedures.
- Skilled in kitchen management tasks such as shift scheduling, food service management, and kitchen operations oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective team leadership and collaboration across departments.
- Experience with banquet services, catering events, and large-scale food production is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry practices including serving protocols, bartending basics (if applicable), and customer service excellence.
