Special Ed Teacher

A public elementary school in Franklin, MA is seeking skilled Special Education Teachers to support students in inclusive and cooperative learning settings for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity involves working collaboratively with grade-level teams to meet the diverse educational needs of students through specialized instruction and individualized support.

Two Positions Are Available
Grade 3 Inclusion Teacher

• Collaborate closely with grade 3 teachers and special education staff to provide inclusion support
• Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 students with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Participate actively in IEP meetings to develop, implement, and monitor student progress
• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:20 a.m.3:40 p.m., with Tuesday afternoons reserved for meetings and professional development

K-2 Special Education Teacher Cooperative Learning Classroom (CLC)

• Provide specialized instruction for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in a partially sub-separate classroom
• Support 2 students who split time between the CLC and general inclusion classrooms, with potential caseload growth during the school year
• Collaborate with a dedicated classroom assistant and work alongside a students 1:1 aide
• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:20 a.m.3:40 p.m., with Tuesday afternoons reserved for meetings and training sessions

Qualifications And Experience

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in inclusion and sub-separate settings
• Familiarity with IEP processes and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student-centered instruction
• Patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners
