Bartender/Server (Base Pay + Tipped Position)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender/Server to join our high-energy, hospitality-driven team. We're looking for someone who values great service, teamwork, and the artistry of craft cocktails. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and pride in creating memorable guest experiences that reflect the vibrant spirit of Cuba. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, showcasing creativity and expertise in crafting a variety of cocktails and beverages. As a Bartender/Server, you will play a vital role in enhancing the guest experience through exceptional service and innovative drink offerings.

This is a tipped position: In addition to your base hourly wage, you will receive tips, which can significantly increase your overall earnings.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Hospitality

• Welcome guests, take orders confidently, and anticipate needs throughout the dining experience.
• Present food and beverages with accuracy and flair, communicating menu knowledge clearly.
• Manage table sections efficiently while maintaining a warm, upbeat atmosphere.
• Assist teammates on the floor and at the bar during high-volume periods.

Bartending & Beverage

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to spec and with consistent presentation.
• Engage bar guests through conversation, recommendations, and authentic hospitality.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, restock products, and track par levels during each shift.

Team & Operations

• Process payments accurately through Toast POS.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure timing and order accuracy.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and responsible-alcohol-service guidelines.
• Participate in opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned by shift leadership.

Qualifications

• 1 + year experience in a full-service restaurant (serving, bartending, or both).
• Strong multitasking and time-management skills under pressure.
• Guest-first mindset with excellent communication and professionalism.
• Basic knowledge of classic cocktails and willingness to learn Chica's signature recipes.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to grow in a cross-trained role.
• Weekend and evening availability required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired — many of our guests appreciate authentic, bilingual hospitality.
