We're growing our Willits team and looking for a skilled Automotive Body Technician who takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

Position Summary

As an Automotive Body Technician at our Willits shop, you'll perform structural and non-structural repairs on late-model vehicles as well as occasional specialty and restoration work. You'll work with modern equipment, OEM repair information, and a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and integrity.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a busy, well-organized shop environment and wants to be part of a reputable collision center with strong community and insurance relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality structural and non-structural collision repairs to OEM standards

• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for accurate repair plans

• Repair and replace body panels, frame components, and related parts

• Perform metal finishing, body filler work, plastic repair, and minor welding

• Work closely with estimators and painters to ensure smooth flow through the shop

• Document all repairs and communicate any additional damage found

• Follow all safety protocols, shop procedures, and OEM/industry repair guidelines

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for shop tools & equipment

• Contribute to a positive, professional team culture with strong customer focus

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of experience as a collision/body tech OR completion of an auto body program

• Strong skills in body panel repair/replacement, bodywork, and fit/finish

• Ability to read and follow repair orders and OEM procedures

• Solid understanding of modern vehicle construction and safety systems

• Own basic body tools; willingness to maintain and improve your tool set

• Valid driver's license and clean, insurable driving record

Preferred (not required – we can help you grow):

• I-CAR, ASE, or OEM certifications

• Aluminum repair experience

• Frame/unibody measuring and pulling experience

• Experience with DRP/insurance-driven workflow
