Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing bid documents, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, contract negotiations, and project management principles to support successful project execution from inception to completion.
Duties
- Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents using Bluebeam and other estimating software.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Utilize HeavyBid and other tools to develop accurate pricing models and bid proposals.
- Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist in the development of project budgets, cost control measures, and schedule planning.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure estimates align with project scope, timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor project costs during execution to identify potential overruns or savings opportunities.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating activities, contracts, and related documentation for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within Industrial or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction site practices, contracts, and construction management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and vendors.
- Ability to analyze complex drawings and specifications accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Experience in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management is highly desirable.
- Construction site experience or background in construction management is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic team environment where your expertise directly impacts project success.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63, $86,721.74 per year
