Key Responsibilities

The core duties of a BI Data & Analytics Manager are multifaceted, blending technical oversight with strategic leadership.

• Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the organization's BI and analytics strategy, aligning data initiatives with overall business objectives.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts, data engineers, and developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Oversee data analysis activities, including data mining, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics, to extract valuable insights and support decision-making.
• Reporting & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Data Management & Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and quality assurance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Sales, Marketing, IT) to understand their data needs, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Technology & Innovation: Select and maintain the appropriate analytics technology stack, staying current with emerging trends (like AI and machine learning) to drive innovation.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Engineering); Master's degree often preferred.
• Typically 5-8+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or related roles, with proven experience in a leadership or management position.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Looker).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for advanced analytics.
