Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that support strategic decision-making across the organization. Duties
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using tools like Talend, Informatica, and Shell Scripting to extract, transform, and load large datasets from diverse sources.
- Build and optimize data warehouses utilizing SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop analytical dashboards and reports using Looker, ensuring they meet business requirements for clarity and usability.
- Implement data models and database designs that support complex analysis and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deliver insights in a timely manner.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and SQL for automation, analysis, and scripting tasks.
- Work with big data technologies including Hadoop, Apache Hive, Spark, and Azure Data Lake to process large-scale datasets efficiently.
- Integrate Linked Data and RESTful APIs to enhance data connectivity across platforms.
- Conduct model training and analysis to improve predictive analytics capabilities.
- Stay current with industry trends in analytics and data management to recommend innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence development or related roles with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure Data Lake for scalable data solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle databases, and Big Data tools like Hadoop, Hive, Spark for processing large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica; scripting skills in Bash or Shell Scripting are a plus.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, VBA or similar languages for automation and analysis tasks.
- Familiarity with Looker or other BI visualization tools for creating dashboards and reports.
- Knowledge of RESTful API integration for connecting disparate systems.
- Experience with Model training techniques for predictive analytics.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with database design expertise to develop efficient data models.
