Position Overview:

We are a fast-growing construction company looking for a motivated, goal-oriented Sales Representative to join our construction services team. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting the company's construction services. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the construction industry, proven sales experience, and the ability to manage projects from lead generation through closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction sector (commercial or industrial).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, engineers, property managers, and other decision-makers.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits to assess needs and propose tailored construction solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, estimates, and bids in coordination with project managers and estimators.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and update CRM tools with leads, contacts, and sales activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, operations, and project management) to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activities, and construction technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in construction services, building materials, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project lifecycles, and industry terminology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM software a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites throughout New England as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred OR equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in the construction or related industry preferred.
