Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Low Voltage Systems Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, pricing, and preparing scope of work statements for various low voltage systems projects. The candidate must possess strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to accurately estimate project costs and deliver comprehensive documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design low-voltage systems, including security, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, AV, and other related systems.
Develop accurate project estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and project requirements.
Prepare detailed scope of work statements that clearly define project deliverables and technical requirements.
Collaborate with Sr. Techs, Project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and related documents.
Select appropriate materials, equipment, and labor resources for project estimation.
Assist in bid submission processes, including pricing, proposal preparation, and presentation.
Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to low voltage systems.
Identify and communicate potential risks and value engineering opportunities within projects.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in estimating low-voltage systems or related technical fields.
Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems design, installation, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in estimating software, Bluebeam Revu, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Relevant certifications or training in low voltage systems are a plus. BICSI-RCDD, CEDIA; CIT, IST, RNS or ESC-D or other technical certifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
