Join our vibrant logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia as a Picker/Packer. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly impact customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications using a scanner or pick list.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Operate hand-held scanners and warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Perform quality control checks on picked and packed items.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as required.
- Adhere strictly to company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- May involve some manual Lifting of products up to 40 lbs.
- Support the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, packing, or order fulfillment role is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics. Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform manual Lifting. Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
