Our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming goods. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for all deliveries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items. This position is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring that our inventory is managed effectively from the moment it arrives. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere to strict Safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments using appropriate equipment.
- Verify contents of shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory system.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety guidelines and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and receiving procedures.
- Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
