Job Summary:
Our rapidly expanding logistics operation in Columbus, Ohio is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. This role is vital to our supply chain, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and readily available for order fulfillment. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to resolve inventory issues and uphold the integrity of our stock. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data accuracy within our logistics framework.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
  • Monitor stock rotation and expiration dates.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with training new staff on inventory control procedures.
  • Support efficient logistics by ensuring accurate stock availability.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and inventory management techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 30 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A strong focus on Safety and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics a plus.
