Become a Material Handler in Detroit, Michigan, and play an integral part in our efficient warehouse operations. This role is essential for the movement of goods throughout our facility, ensuring that materials are transported safely and efficiently to their intended destinations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to manage inventory flow. A strong commitment to safety and accuracy is a must. This position is key to our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to various workstations and storage areas.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Ensure accurate tracking of materials within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Handle tasks that require significant Lifting and material maneuvering.
- Support the seamless execution of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including heavy Lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Dedication to upholding high standards in a logistics setting.
