We are looking for a reliable Forklift Operator to join our growing team in St. Louis, Missouri. This position plays a vital role in our distribution network, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your diligence in maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to established procedures will be key to your success. This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a vital logistics operation.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize and maintain inventory within designated areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory through diligent record-keeping and scanning.
- Follow all established safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.
- Support the logistics team with various tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform tasks that involve moderate to heavy Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects; experience with significant Lifting is expected.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential for this logistics role.
