We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our advanced logistics center in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are paramount. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work in a state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, sort, and store materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain an organized and clutter-free work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Follow traffic rules within the warehouse and ensure pedestrian safety.
- Support overall logistics and material handling operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong understanding of material handling and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
- Proficiency in using various PPE.
