Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transporting inventory, and supporting various warehouse functions. You will be required to wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and strictly adhere to all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a forklift operator, a valid certification, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This role involves physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and location.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and the use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator license/certification.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
