Our Fort Worth, Texas distribution center is actively seeking motivated Order Pickers to contribute to our efficient logistics operations. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role demands precision, speed, and a thorough understanding of inventory locations. You will utilize scanning devices and order sheets to locate and gather items, ensuring that each order is complete and correct. This physically demanding position requires individuals who can comfortably work on their feet for extended periods and handle frequent Lifting of items up to a certain weight. Safety is paramount; therefore, you must consistently follow all established Safety guidelines and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order lists or electronic devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use handheld scanners to track picked items and update inventory records.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area using pallet jacks or other equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safe passage for all personnel.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed individual performance metrics for picking speed and accuracy.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stocktaking activities.
- Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse/logistics setting is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately.
- Experience with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Must be capable of frequent Lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for long durations.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a dynamic logistics environment.
