Join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas, as an Order Picker! We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented individuals to accurately gather products for customer orders. In this role, you will be responsible for navigating our warehouse efficiently, locating specified items using order sheets or scanning devices, and preparing them for packing and shipment. Your accuracy and speed are crucial to our customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for most of your shift and will be involved in frequent Lifting of products and boxes. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount; therefore, you must strictly follow all Safety guidelines and wear the provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and pick tickets.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Verify product codes and quantities before moving items to the packing station.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or electric carts to transport items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Meet individual and team performance goals for picking efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks as needed.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Proficiency with handheld scanning devices is a plus.
- Must be capable of frequent Lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain concepts is beneficial.
