We are looking for a reliable and efficient Picker/Packer to join our distribution center in Sacramento, California. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in accurately fulfilling customer orders and ensuring timely shipments. Your primary duties will involve picking items from warehouse shelves based on order lists and then carefully packing these items into appropriate shipping containers. This role demands speed, accuracy, and a strong commitment to quality. You will be working within our logistics team, handling a variety of products and contributing to the overall efficiency of our fulfillment process. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a dedication to maintaining a safe working environment are key.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect products for any defects or damages before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into designated boxes or containers.
- Apply appropriate shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed to transport goods.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking/packing or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform Lifting of up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all operational guidelines.
- Familiarity with basic logistics operations is a plus.
