We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics operations in Columbus, Ohio. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
- Manage inventory discrepancies reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Oversee the proper put-away, storage, and organization of all inventory within the facility.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and status.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to optimize stock.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE by all personnel.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role within logistics.
- Proficiency in WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to conduct thorough audits and investigations.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Commitment to promoting a safe work environment and ensuring adherence to PPE requirements.
