We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, labeling shipments correctly, and coordinating with carriers. A strong commitment to Safety is essential, as you will be working with various shipping equipment and handling packages. This role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. While not as physically demanding as some warehouse roles, occasional Lifting may be required, and proper PPE must be worn when necessary. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring that our products are shipped out correctly and on schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order information against shipping documents.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Label shipments with correct addresses, tracking information, and any special handling instructions.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and utilize PPE as needed.
- Assist with inventory checks and other Logistics support tasks.
- Perform occasional Lifting of packages and ensure correct handling.
