Our Indianapolis, Indiana location is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team! This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of our logistics operations, involving a wide range of warehouse duties from receiving to shipping. You will be responsible for handling products efficiently, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that orders are processed correctly. We emphasize a safe and productive work environment, requiring all associates to adhere to strict safety guidelines and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position offers a great chance to develop skills and advance within the dynamic field of logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect inbound shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders or shipping manifests.
- Stock inventory accurately into designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
- Pick and retrieve items from shelves according to customer orders and pick tickets.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit and correctly labeled.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and forklifts (certification and training provided as needed).
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory checks and cycle counting activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily productivity targets.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
