We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Denver, Colorado. This position is essential for managing the inbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and proper handling from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent documentation skills, and be committed to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving area. You will be responsible for unloading, inspecting, documenting, and staging all incoming shipments. Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects, reporting issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming products according to company procedures.
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to perform manual lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and experience using PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
