Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent Inventory Control Specialist for our Boise, Idaho warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our inventory, which directly impacts our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting audits, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring our inventory management systems are precise. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for optimizing warehouse operations, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with meticulous accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory levels and stock movement to identify potential issues and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations, receiving, and shipping teams to resolve inventory-related challenges.
  • Develop and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) and ensure proper handling to minimize product damage.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely, adhering to all regulations and using required PPE.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs for inventory verification and movement.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics support role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software is crucial.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices in a logistics environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be familiar with and strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
