Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our St. Louis, Missouri facility. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our warehouse and plays a key part in our overall logistics network. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse. This includes operating forklifts and other heavy equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to optimize material flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Understanding of logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proficiency with PPE.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented with effective communication abilities.
