We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that the correct products are picked, verified, and staged for packing and shipping. This position requires physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will utilize scanning equipment and follow order pick lists meticulously. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to all safety regulations including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is a critical aspect of this job. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations according to order tickets.
- Use handheld scanners to locate items and track inventory movements.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established picking quotas and quality standards.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capacity for lifting items up to 45 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and using PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations is a plus.
