We are looking for enthusiastic Order Pickers to join our fast-paced distribution center in Nashville, Tennessee. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed are vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will utilize order picking lists or scanning technology to locate and retrieve items, and then prepare them for packing and shipment. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and all Order Pickers are required to follow strict safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders based on pick lists or electronic scanning devices.
- Locate products within the warehouse using efficient navigation methods.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as required.
- Contribute to overall team productivity and meet performance goals.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs unassisted.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand pick lists.
- Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
