We are looking for a dependable Material Handler to support our warehouse operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position is fundamental to the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing materials throughout the warehouse. This includes using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move items efficiently and safely. The role requires physical stamina, as it involves considerable standing, walking, bending, and significant lifting. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to all company guidelines, is paramount. You will play a key role in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from various departments using appropriate equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any damaged goods or safety hazards promptly.
- Capable of frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with logistics operations is a plus.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and adhering to safety protocols.
