Join our fast-paced logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in Boston, Massachusetts! We are looking for a reliable and efficient individual to manage the outbound flow of our products. This role involves preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. The Shipping Clerk plays a vital part in our supply chain, making sure that orders are dispatched correctly and on time. Your attention to detail will be key in preventing errors and ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll work in a collaborative environment where teamwork and efficiency are paramount. This position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare customs documentation when necessary.
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper packaging standards are met.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records.
- Liaise with sales, inventory, and customer service departments.
- Enforce and follow all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move goods.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a similar shipping or logistics role is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Must be capable of Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of required PPE for warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory control.
