We are actively seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Los Angeles, California. This role is fundamental to our efficient logistics and inventory management processes. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, unloading, and stacking materials and products throughout the warehouse. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks with precision, ensuring the integrity of goods and the safety of personnel. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all operators must strictly adhere to company policies and OSHA regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your ability to navigate the warehouse effectively, manage inventory placement, and support shipping and receiving operations is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse racking.
- Move pallets of goods to designated storage or shipping areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Stack and organize materials in a safe and orderly manner.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment around operating areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA standards and the use of PPE.
- Follow instructions from supervisors regarding material movement and logistics.
- Handle occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs when not operating machinery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Thorough understanding of forklift safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting and climbing.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team.
- Experience with logistics and inventory management is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE correctly.
