We are seeking a diligent and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and the operation of various material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Scan and record inventory movements accurately.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed (certification may be required or provided).
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper stocking and cycle counts.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing materials.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support general warehouse operations as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE .
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
