As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of outgoing shipments. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring that products leave our facility in perfect condition and are correctly documented. You will pick, pack, label, and stage orders, verifying details against customer orders. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency is key. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to safety . You will be expected to follow all procedures, including the proper use of PPE . Responsibilities:
- Receive shipping orders and prepare them for dispatch.
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Stage packed orders for carrier pickup.
- Verify shipping information against customer orders.
- Operate pallet jacks and other moving equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear all required PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment preferred.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds).
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and shipping procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons.
