We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and manage the movement of materials within our busy distribution center. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing goods. You will be responsible for safely maneuvering various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport products. A strong commitment to safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Document daily forklift inspections and report any defects.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall warehouse operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety .
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
