Join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Receiving Clerk! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately logging, inspecting, and organizing all deliveries. Your meticulous attention to detail is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring the smooth flow of products through our warehouse. This position is fundamental to our supply chain and requires a commitment to Safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify delivery details against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Enter received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Tag and label all inventory for proper storage.
- Organize and stage incoming materials for put-away or production.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with shipments to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to Logistics and warehouse Safety .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and WMS software.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE , such as safety vests and gloves.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to workplace safety.
