Position Conferma is looking for an experienced Sales Operations Director to develop and implement sales planning, processes, tools, and procedures that increase efficiency, productivity, and revenue. Partnering with the Commercial Leadership team to drive growth and eliminate operational barriers in support of the business strategy will be a critical element of the role. The successful candidate will be a highly structured, self‑starter professional with analytical rigor, project management skill, and a blend of strategic and operational experience. This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Requirements
Own day-to-day business operations for the Commercial team, including setting sales plans, tracking KPIs, managing inbound lead allocation, pipeline oversight, and monitoring client engagement (e.g., account plans, QBRs).
Drive strategic initiatives to develop, implement, and optimise planning, processes, and procedures that increase the Commercial team's efficiency, productivity, and revenue.
Lead the sales forecasting process, engaging the Commercial team with their pipeline to deliver timely and accurate positioning.
Work with Finance to develop, implement, and refine reporting to measure the effectiveness of revenue processes.
Project‑manage key change initiatives that impact the sales organisation (e.g., CRM tool enhancements, territory design).
Develop strong performance data that measures progress against goals, generating actionable insights that inform leadership decisions and drive growth.
Present pipeline insights across the business, ensuring high data integrity in collaboration with the Commercial team.
Ensure collaborative and effective communication with critical teams including customer support, customer success, implementation, service delivery, and product.
Design the Sales technology roadmap and influence investment.
Implement a rhythm of business for the commercial team to create consistency as the business grows.
Collaborate with HR over time to design and execute Sales enablement and incentive programmes.
What you will have:
Proven track record of developing and implementing Sales Operations in a high‑growth B2B business.
Highly organised, structured, and adept at prioritisation and project management.
Demonstrable experience of sales productivity KPIs, inbound lead allocation, pipeline management, planning, and forecasting.
Keen understanding of balancing detail orientation with speed.
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and analytics tools such as Power BI.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly at all levels.
Ability to influence at all levels and lead change initiatives.
High‑pressure performance with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Self‑organisation, multi‑priority management, and sound decision‑making.
Highest standards of discretion and integrity.
Experience managing structured and unstructured data for insights.
Excellent collaboration across business units, including Finance, Customer Success, and Service.
Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach.
