About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer, Sr Analyst to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, UK. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption and implementation of DevOps practices within our client organizations. The successful candidate will work on multiple projects, overseeing the deployment of automation tools, supporting cloud‑native and hybrid environments, and fostering a DevOps culture that emphasizes continuous integration, delivery, and infrastructure automation. You will serve as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate digital transformation initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of cloud technology, influencing enterprise‑wide DevOps strategies and solutions.
Qualifications
Associate‑level cloud certification in Azure or AWS.
Hands‑on experience with Azure and AWS cloud technologies, including compute, networking, storage, and security services.
Deep technical know‑how in implementing integrated automation solutions using DevOps toolsets.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform.
Experience with code repositories, continuous integration, automated deployment, and management tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with DevSecOps practices, including secret management and tools integration for security hardening.
Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow, and experience in incident, change, and problem management processes.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Shell scripting.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Leading the implementation and management of DevOps toolchains across multiple projects, ensuring best practices and operational excellence.
Collaborating with development teams to facilitate continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure‑as‑code initiatives.
Designing and deploying scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on Azure and AWS platforms.
Driving the adoption of DevOps practices within client organizations, including automation, monitoring, and security protocols.
Creating and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning scripts.
Managing and optimizing cloud resources to control costs and improve performance.
Providing technical guidance and support for cloud migrations, upgrades, and ongoing operations.
Developing dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize deployment metrics, cloud costs, incident trends, and SLA performance.
Ensuring compliance with security policies and implementing DevSecOps best practices.
Supporting incident resolution, escalation, and on‑call duties outside of regular hours as needed.
