We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our Madison, Wisconsin warehouse team. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our facility, including loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials, and supporting inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Safety, excellent operational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key part in our daily Logistics operations, ensuring a smooth and productive workflow. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Transport, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse and to/from shipping/receiving docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any issues.
- Follow all Safety protocols and company policies, ensuring the correct use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage to goods and ensure Safety.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals within the Logistics framework.
- May require occasional manual Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification required. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. Demonstrated knowledge of forklift Safety procedures and best practices. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting. Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory principles is beneficial. Strict adherence to Safety regulations and use of PPE is mandatory.
