Are you an experienced Inventory Control Specialist looking for a new challenge in Jacksonville, Florida? We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage and maintain the accuracy of our inventory. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time. You will be responsible for cycle counting, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and control.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage stock levels and replenishment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Train relevant staff on inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Support all logistics functions requiring accurate inventory data.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
