An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Inventory Control Specialist in Detroit, Michigan! If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy, this role is for you. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. This position is crucial for optimizing our logistics operations and ensuring product availability. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure all inventory movements are recorded correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory, minimizing damage and loss.
- Collaborate with the logistics and operations teams to manage stock levels.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with tasks involving organized Lifting and movement of inventory.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of safety procedures, including Lifting techniques and PPE.
