We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our industrial facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is vital for the smooth operation of our production and logistics processes. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position requires physical stamina and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Verify counts and inspect materials for damage.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting and manual labor, up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Strong understanding of logistics flow.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow strict safety guidelines.
