This role is vital for the smooth operation of our warehouse and plays a key part in our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include transporting materials, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining an organized storage system. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is strictly enforced. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable with physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and working in various warehouse conditions. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Assist in receiving and shipping operations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly placing and locating items.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and free of obstructions.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and proper PPE usage.
- Experience in logistics or a related field is advantageous.
- Good hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
